There was alot of *BAD* Black Metal Band in the early 90ies but Emperor played the biggest role of it. the guy man was killed with over 14 knife stings.the band had also an big role when it come to burning down churches.they burn down alot.so it is kind of wrong that Mayham should socalled be the worst Black Metal Band in Norway.they are only victims of get one bandsinger killed by Varg Vikernes altso a member of Mayham at that time. InThe band Emperor there was two members who was convicted of murder.one murder was of a gay man provoking one of the members. The moast known Musik Norway is and always wil be the creation of Black Metal.Black Metal was created in Norway by Mayhem,Emperor,Dimmu Borgir, DissectionFrom Stromstad.the swedish border, immortal,Carphatian forest,Beherit, burzum*varg Vikernes(.the one who killed the singer of Mayhem in early 90ies, Darktrone, Gorgoroth, Old mans child, Satyricon ++++++. That's all I could think of at the top of my head, hope that helps any.Įdit: maybe dont use Vømmøl Spelmanslag to learn the language, they have a very heavy dialect, which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but it could be difficult for a non-native norwegian to understand. On the topic of christmas songs though, I quite enjoy Viggo and Reidar's album "Viggo & Reidar synger julen inn – en jul i containeren", it's a collection of satire christmas songs, about being homeless on christmas or being in a dysfunctional relationship.įinally there's a group called Vømmøl Spellmannslag, but their songs can be a bit more serious, in the sense that they're about life, about working on a farm or working at a lumber yard, one song is literally about an old man who is dying of age, but many of their songs are also lighthearted. There's also Bjelleklang which is an acapella group, not to be mistaken with the Norwegian translation of the christmas song jingle bells, their songs are also comedic and they make covers of famous English songs too, the covers being in Norwegian and usually the lyrics differ from the original song to get a comedic result. I enjoy most things by Øystein Sunde, his songs are mostly light hearted and usually comedic.
